- As part of efforts in this area, initiatives have been
taken in the Family Medical service (FMS) areas
- A Family Physician Center with basic
facilities has been established to
address the medical needs of the middle class society, again with quality and
affordability as the
criteria. Initiatives
have been taken with a
few Doctors (see News and
Events) who are
interested in this
concept and to build a
network of services institutes such as laboratory etc. More than 2500 patients
are already registered with this centre.
- The family Physician Centre is also developing as a focal point for
Preventive Medicine especially supporting the education sector through its
massive inoculation programs and medical camps held in the schools who are
part of the eco-system.

for the Family Physician
Center is planned at an
approximate cost of a
million US. Dollars

collected for
establishment of a
Hospice and a Dialysis
center in the palliative
care areas
